Case Keenum wasn't apologetic for trying to tackle UCLA linebacker Akeem Ayers as he returned Keenum's interception 77 yards back up the field.
Even though Keenum's efforts resulted in a season-ending -- and possibly Houston career-ending -- knee injury, Keenum said if he had to do it over, he'd still give the same effort.
"If I was put into the same situation, I probably would have done the same thing," Keenum said during a teleconference earlier in the week. "I probably would go after him still. I have regrets about throwing the pick and I have regrets about the play before, I should have probably scored.
"I've been told lots of times to not go and try and make a tackle by a lot of people. I don't know, it was reaction, instincts. And everything's going through my head because I had had the concussion the week before and I didn't want to get hit in the head by this guy. So I'm not going to dive and risk injury. I'm going to try and grab him and pull him down. And that's when he cut and I cut and my knee gave out."
